Our Paper
Our paper is 100% recycled and is manufactured in Canada.
Using 1 ton of our paper saves 17 matures trees, 1,081 lbs of solid waste,
10,196 gallons of water, 6.9 lbs of suspended particles in water, 2,098
lbs of air emissions and 2,478 cubic feet of natural gas.
Our Ink
We currently use agri-based inks. Our inks contain
high levels of renewable raw materials such as: soy, linseed and other
types of vegetable oils. Our inks are also low in VOCs (Volitile Organic
Compounds). Agri-based inks can perform just as well, if not better, than
their more dangerous and environmentally harmful petroleum counterparts.
Our Packaging
Packaging accounts for 30% of all solid waste by weight.
To reduce landfill waste, our paper is packaged in 100% biodegradable
cellophane. Cellophane is a natural polymer that is made from cellulose,
which is a component of plants and trees.Man-made polymers, such as those
found in plastics, are mostly derived from petroleum! The average time
for complete bio-degradation of the type of cellulose film that we use
is 28-60 days.
